Saris announces new president and COO
One of Mtbr’s favorite cycling companies is getting new leadership. Twenty-nine and a half years ago, Chris Fortune and his wife Sara founded the bicycle accessory manufacturer now known as Saris. During this time, Chris has steered and grown a business built on a commitment to manufacturing high quality products in Madison, Wisconsin. But today, Saris announced Chris’ move to CEO as well as a successor to Chris’ President title, Jeff Frehner.
Learn more about Saris and how they do business.
Beginning January 1, Frehner will become President and COO and will lead the next generation of Saris. Over the last nine years, Jeff has been an integral part of the Saris tribe. His roles within the walls have run the gamut, and during his tenure at Saris he’s exemplified values and morals that align with the Saris culture of doing the right thing, the company said in a press release.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Jeff leading the business,” said Chris Fortune. “We’re confident that Jeff is the right person to lead our tribe, our business and our product categories forward. He’s trustworthy, shares our values, brings immense industry experience and long-held relationships to the table, and possesses a deep knowledge of Saris and our people. We’ve spent the last six months preparing for this hand-off, and the time has now come to ring in a new chapter at Saris.”
For the uninitiated, Saris is a manufacturer of bicycle accessories committed to making their products in the USA. At Saris, bikes are at the heart of everything they do.
