2015 Lights Shootout

NiteRider Pro 2200 Front

There’s quite a few exotic lights out there but this NiteRider Pro 2200 may actually be practical. It has a measured output of 2317 Lumens and it has a beautiful and wide beam pattern. Cost is $400 and run time is 2 hours on high mode. That means at half power, which is plenty bright, one gets 4 hours out of it.

The light head is fully capable of keeping this light cool and it’s got good electronics to throttle down the light if it gets too hot. So in summary, if you want an exotic but practical light, this is a good choice.

We photographed the lights in the same location setting with the same camera settings. The photos were taken in the back yard that is approximately 25 yards long. These photos feature many objects and a distinct background to analyze detail and beam pattern. Compare all Beam Patterns here »
