Review: Lumicycle Summit Enduro Pack
One of the cool things about the lights shootout is we get to see many different lights from different parts of the world. Australian and New Zealand lights are interesting since they have a different take on versatility and form factors. Now we have these fine example from the UK with the Lumicycle Summit and Explorer lights.
These are finely constructed lights that come in a nice metal case. The head has a lot of heat sinking and it has a nice shot-peened texture to it. The clamp is a well-sorted affair as it opens fully but with a quick release clasp as well. To accommodate the larger 35 mm bars, an extra clasp is added to the mount to increase the diameter.
The switch is awesome as it is the classic toggle type but is spring loaded at the on position. Thus it can be turned off easily and the user can scroll through the different brightness modes by pushing it on the on position. It is deceptively simple and intuitive yet we’ve never seen it before.
Finally the brightness and beam pattern is good. The Explorer is the brighter at 2250 measured lumens and the Explorer is at 1210 measured lumens. The Explorer is really quite the light with its incredible brightness and huge beam pattern.
Beam Pattern Photo
We photographed the lights in the same location setting with the same camera settings. The photos were taken in the back yard that is approximately 25 yards long. These photos feature many objects and a distinct background to analyze detail and beam pattern. Compare all Beam Patterns here »
Integrating Sphere Measured Lumens
This light measured 1210 Lumens in an integrating sphere. Claimed Lumens by the manufacturer is 1650 Lumens. Compare all Lumen Tests here »
