With this ripping run, our intrepid correspondent Jon Buckell finished 11th in the star-studded 2014 Taxco Urban Downhill held in Guerrero, Mexico over the weekend.
Bernardo Cruz bested a stacked field and a course that consisted of dirt, concrete, hundreds of stairs, a few stray animals and even a foray into a hallway to win the 2014 Taxco Urban Downhill race in Guerrero, Mexico Saturday.
While second place finisher Filip Polc surely would have loved to take the win, the high finish secured the overall City Downhill World Tour title for the speedy Slovakian. Tomas Slavik finished third, Mitch Ropeleto fourth and Bernard Kerr was fifth to round out the podium.
That wraps up our Taxco Urban Downhill coverage for 2014. Special thanks to Jon Buckell for his photos and insights–and congrats on his 11th place finish. Follow him on Instagram at @djyoungbuck, and his Incycle Downhill and Enduro team at @incyclebicycles.
