For all those Shimano devotees looking for a narrow/wide chainring solution, Santa Cruz’s Praxis Works has gotten in the game. The cold forging champions have released a new 96 bolt circle diameter thick-thin-tooth single chainrings that will work with XT and XTR drivetrains. Availability of the new ring is set for November, with pricing slated to come in around $50.

Also new from Praxis Works is a chromoly narrow/wide 32t ring in a 104 BCD. This $75 offering is cold forged, meaning it’s been stamped out using 20,000 tons of pressure. That assures a stiff, durable ring, and allows for fine scalloping on tooth profiles to enhance chain retention. Praxis Works says it will expand beyond the 32t/104 BCD if they see demand for additional offerings.

Finally, Praxis Works launched a new conversion bottom bracket ($85) that will work with the popular Race Face Cinch and Rotor Rex series of cranks that use a 30mm spindle. Utilizing an expanding collet system, the BB is designed to eliminate the potential for creaking in BB30 and PressFit 30 systems. The drive cup threads into a non-drive cup, and as it does so the collet expands to a precise machined stop, which sets the BB and bearings for a super tight fit.
