Praxis adds new 1x MTB chainring offerings

Praxis Works built their reputation on high quality chainrings and the brand is constantly expanding their lineup. Recently, they released three new chainrings for 1x-drivetrtain equipped mountain bikes.

Praxis Direct Mount

First up is their new direct mount chainring, which uses a 3-bolt SRAM interface. It is compatible with both 10- and 11-speed drivetrains and utilizes an alternating narrow/wide tooth profile for chain retention. Price is $65-$75 and the rings are available in 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, and 36T sizes. More info can be found here.

Praxis claims that these chainrings must be used with a ‘Clutch’ type rear derailleur. Ex. Shimano Shadow or SRAM Type 2.

Praxis 96BCD Chainrings for Shimano

Also new are 96BCD chainrings that work with Shimano XTR9000 and XT8000 series cranks. These also utilize a narrow/wide tooth profile and will be available in 30, 32, 34, 36, and 38T. Price is $65-$75. More info can be found here.

Praxis 32T Cold Forged Chainring

And finally, Praxis is releasing cold forged steel chainrings. These chainrings are manufactured from a 4130 premium plate steel, which is considerably stronger and harder than other standard steel grades. This chainring is the first of its kind from the brand and will only be available in a 32T 104BCD to start. Price is $75 and they’re available now. For more info check out www.praxiscycles.com .
