Pivot extends warranty on carbon frames to ten years

Pivot Mach 5.5

Don’t be afraid to send it! Pivot’s warranty has you covered for the next ten years.

Pivot produces some of the best bikes on the market, so it’s easy to forget they’re a relatively young company. To celebrate ten years in business, they’re offering a new ten year warranty on all carbon frames purchased on or after June 1, 2017. Carbon frames purchased before that date will be covered by the brands previous three year warranty.

The move is not particularly surprising, considering several brands have made similar overtures in recent years. Ibis Cycles just pushed their three year warranty out to seven, while Santa Cruz Bikes made the leap from five years to lifetime.

With how quickly bikes evolve, it’s hard to imagine riding the same bike in ten years, but the prolonged warranty should make you feel better about your next purchase. Especially when a carbon frame like the recently released Mach 5.5 retails for just north of 3k.

Of course, a warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. From the comments in our forums, it appears most riders have had nothing but great experiences with Pivot customer service.
