After a long and successful history in the world of custom and in-line road cycling kit, Pactimo is making a splash in the mountain bike arena. The Colorado-based company recently launched a small line of off-road apparel, including shorts, jerseys, and a bib liner.

The new Apex jersey comes in short sleeve ($50) and long sleeve ($60) versions in a variety of colors including orange and the pictured gray. Pactimo PR man Josh Cook, who spearheaded the project, calls the fit “enduro XC,” meaning it’s not too tight, nor too baggy. Other features include open mesh material on the back and arms for enhanced venting, a slight drop tail cut, taped seams for durability, and a soft collar for improved comfort.

Storage space is abundant with two standard front-facing hand pockets, plus two hidden zippered pockets on the right upper thigh and left lower thigh.

The new Pactimo MTB shorts ($90) are made from a comfortable 4-way stretch material that’s designed to move where you move. They also utilize a slimmer cut, and are slightly curved on the back of the knees to minimize annoying rub when hammering in the saddle. Storage space is abundant with two standard front-facing hand pockets, plus two hidden zippered pockets on the right upper thigh and left lower thigh, which are strategically placed to hold the objects they carry in-place and secure. And yes, your smartphone will fit. Finally there’s a double snap closure for added waist security, and they come in yellow/black, blue/black, and solid black.

Pactimo completes the MTB apparel puzzle with its new bib liner ($70) that features a multi-density chamois and has two pockets capable of carrying a vest, hand pump, and/or water bottle.
