Pactimo announces California fire relief campaign

Wildfires have ravaged California this year. Pactimo is trying to help.

Colorado based cycling apparel maker Pactimo has gotten into the true holiday spirit, announcing its California fire relief campaign, which will donate $25 for every jersey sold on its website. These funds will go to help the tens of thousands of residents that were displaced during the recent wildfires that ravaged several areas in the state.

“As news came in regarding the devastating scope of these fires’ destruction, our team wanted to find a way to help people get back on their feet,” explained Tony Kelsey, Pactimo VP of marketing. “One of our staff from California asked what we could do. Another contacted United Way of California to set up the connection, and our owners got behind it in a big way.”

Here are just some of the jerseys that are part of the Pactimo California fire relief campaign.

Starting December 10, Pactimo started donating a portion of sales from each jersey sold on its website to United Way of California. The program runs through Christmas Eve and includes all of the company’s premium Summit and Ascent jerseys as well as mountain bike jerseys. It excludes made-to-order product.

“As we discovered through the Carr Fire, emergency cash assistance is often the number one need for evacuees following a disaster like this,” Jacob Peterson of the United Way. “Shelters quickly become inundated with physical donations to the point that public officials are pleading with donors to send cash not items. Families are in desperate need of resources to not only cover basic needs, but to also help find housing and transportation, as well as money to cover bills in the wake of lost work wages.”

Pactimo has a history of partnering with charitable causes, and to date has donated over $200,000 in cash to non-profit organizations and significantly more through in-kind donations.
