Now in its third iteration, the Ibis Ripley LS frame continues to evolve and improve. In version No. 2 it got longer and slacker. Now version No. 3 makes accommodation for wide tires up to 2.6. Press play to learn more.

Ibis Ripley LS V3

This is the clearance with a 2.6 Nobby Nic tire.

To allow bigger tires, the suspension clevis was changed and the swing arm was modified to allow more room. The v3.0 Ripley is now compatible with only two front derailleurs: Shimano side swing and Di2. Ibis almost removed FD compatibility but found no additional performance would be gained by removing it.

The swing arm and clevis were modified to fit bigger tires.

The other minor change is that the upper eccentric has been made wider and it now visually matches the lower eccentric. Despite the changes, the weight and overall stiffness are essentially the same between the v2.0 and v3.0 chassis.
