Mtbr/RoadBikeReview Expands Editorial Team, Names Industry Veteran Don Palermini as Editorial Director

ConsumerReview, parent of bicycle sites Mtbr.com and RoadBikeReview.com, has named industry veteran Don Palermini as editorial director. The former Easton-Bell Sports marketing director will oversee editorial operations, strategic direction and brand development in the newly created role.

“Don has the rare combination of bike tech and riding knowledge, strong industry relationships and insights, as well as a sense of humility and the openness to learn,” said Mtbr Founder and General Manager Francis Cebedo. “His addition is consistent with our commitment to fully cover innovations in the bike industry and further amplify our original editorial voice that compliments the strong community components of Mtbr and RoadBikeReview.”

Palermini is the latest hire from within the industry to join the company. Features Editor Jason Sumner joined the team in 2013 along with Contributing Editor Kurt “The Angry Singlespeeder” Gensheimer, and a host of freelancers.

“I’m really excited to join an awesome team and bring my experience as a marketer to bear on what’s truly a unique media proposition within the bike industry,” said Palermini. “Our audience gets this great mix of expert insight augmented by a very active forum community, while our advertisers get access to customers as they’re making purchasing decisions. It’s a winning combination and I’m happy to join in the effort.”

Mtbr and RoadBikeReview serve more than 3.5 million unique visitors in peak months, and hosts active user review and forum components with more than 300,000 registered users. The sites are part of a publishing network that includes photography, auto, audio, outdoor and golf review sites. ConsumerReview is owned by Maryland-based Invenda Corp.
