Maxxis releases new plus-size tires
Recognizing the exploding popularity of plus-size bikes, Maxxis today showed off some of its newest rubber, including 3.0-inch wide versions of its much loved Minion DHF and DHR II tires in both 27.5 and 29-inch diameter.
This is an especially significant development for 29+ riders who, up until now, have been limited to only a couple tire choices. Just like their narrower brethren, the new plus size Minions feature EXO sidewall protection.
Another popular tread design, the High Roller II, is available in 27.5×2.8”, making for an ideal rear tire, running one of the Minions up front. These new plus-size offerings from Maxxis will surely take the all-mountain and all-day adventure performance of plus size tires to a new level thanks to the brand’s outstanding reputation for durability and grip.
