Mike Mulder from Loaded Precision shows us their much anticipated 2014 Carbon product lineup, that includes the Napalm Carbon stem, Xlite Ultra Carbon seatpost, AmXC, Xlite and Napalm Carbon handlebars, and the X-lite and X-lite Ultra Carbon wheelsets. Also featured are the X-lite Ultra Aluminum seatpost, AmXc and X-lite Ti stems, AmX Signature pedals, AmXc Pistol and AmXc NoSlip grips, and the AmX Step Down axle.

The Napalm Carbon handlebar is for the weight conscious XC racer, weighing in only 114g. The typical manufacturing process forms the bar in 3 pieces which results in unnecessary added material and weight in the fusing process. Loaded has come up with a different process which uses a styrofoam mold that allows for a one pass, complete layout for the entire bar, that eliminates extra material. During this process, the styrofoam also evaporates and goes away. Also for 2014 is the new Napalm Carbon stem, that features Titanium hardware, full Carbon faceplate, weighs in at 91g and is available in 90mm 100mm 110mm and 120mm lengths.

The AmXc Carbon handlebar has a 760mm width, a UD finish, cool graphics and weighs 210g. It’s suited for the Cross Country, Freeride or lightweight DH bike. The X-lite Carbon handlebar also features a UD finish, no slip overlay on the grip and stem mounting sections, and is available in a 680mm width with 15mm rise (133g) and a flat 710mm with 0mm rise option (142g).

The brand new X-lite Ultra Carbon wheelset is available in 27.5″ and 29″ with DT or Loaded hub options. They are hand laced in San Diego, CA, have an internal width of 19mm, quad buted spokes and are perfect for XC racing. They can weigh sub 1300-1450g depending on the configuration. Another new wheel set is the X-lite Carbon. The X-lite Carbon wheelset features a 21mm internal rim width, DT Swiss or Loaded hubs, TBT tubeless technology, fortified nipple bed technology, Carbon knitting technology that takes the Carbon thread and knits the lamination layers together, as well as elastomers that are added during the resin process, which increases the strength and makes it impossible for the Carbon to crack. The 29″ inch wheels can go up to a 2.3 width tire and come in Red and White color options. It is specifically designed for hardcore Trail, Enduro and XC use and is perfect for the lightweight race bike that needs to be durable.

To round out the new Carbon lineup is the X-lite Ultra Carbon seatpost, which has Titanium hardware, a simplistic design and weighs 142g.

The AmXc stem is forged and CNC Machined and is perfect for a XC, Trail or Enduro bike. It features stainless steel, tapered hardware on the stem and Loaded has taken out as much material as possible to bring the weight down while still maintaining strength. The Xlite Ti stem is CNC Machined out of 7075 Aluminum, features a Carbon Fiber faceplate, Titanium hardware, low stack high height and weighs in at 99g.

The X-lite Ultra Aluminum steatpost is brand new for 2014. It is a one piece machined tube with a simple design and weighs 166g. The AmX Signature pedals come in 2 axle configurations, Titanium (266g) or Chromoly (326g), with a 12.9mm thickness, wide platform and dual oversized bearings. The new AmXc Pistol grip features a patented “Anti-Slip” compound of high grade, sticky rubber that’s hydrophobic and oleophobic. It also features a machined “c clip” and end cap combination that helps to evenly load the handlebar and supports the interface. Lastly, the AmX Step Down axle made from 7075 Aluminum, is specifically for frames 135mm wide that have a quick-release or 10mm dropout and want to secure rear wheel with locking axle.
