Lezyne goes digital with new mini-pump and shock pump
The Lezyne Pressure Drive is one of the best mini pumps we’ve used. It’s compact, sleek, compatible with Presta and Schrader valves, and available in a number of anodized finishes. We’ve used the high volume and high pressure versions on the road and mountain over the years and never come away disappointed.
As part of it’s new Year 10 collection, Lezyne is updating this modern classic by integrating a digital pressure gauge into the pump body. This may sound like a ridiculous feature, but you’d be surprised how big a difference even a single PSI can make when you’re running low pressures, especially in plus and fat tires.
Unfortunately, for now the digital version is only available as a high pressure model. This makes it quite versatile, as it can pump tires up to 120 PSI. But is less ideal for dedicated mountain bike users. Our guess (and hope) is that the a high volume version will be released shortly.
Retail for the new pump is $70, which is $20 more than the analog version.
Lezyne in also integrating their new digital pressure gauge into other products, such as the new Digital Shock Drive. This pump can provide up to 350 PSI (24 bar) and features a zero-loss Chuck design, which unthreads after the valve pin seats itself. Retail for this new pump is also $70.
For the Analog purists, there’s also a new shop quality Shock Drive pump that looks fantastic. It shares the same zero-loss chuck head, but can push 400 PSI (27.5 bar), and has a ergonomic handle. Retail is $50.
