A handy battery power indicator is incorporated into the lower portion of the screen. We’ve had our test unit for three months and the battery level is still high.

Mtbr’s Take

You don’t always need a shock pump when you’re on the trail, but when you do, having a compact and accurate pump is a godsend. The new Lezyne Digital Shock Drive fits that profile perfectly.

Lezyne Digital Shock Drive Pump

Nothing about the Lezyne pump feels cheap.

This shop quality tool is significantly slimmer than your average pump, which makes it a joy to carry. It’s constructed from premium materials and makes most pumps we’ve used feel cheap in comparison.

The digital gauge uses a large and easy to read font that displays in either PSI or BAR. To swap between the two, you simply touch the power button. Holding the power button down for ten seconds will zero gauge.

The pressure relief valve is located just about the digital gauge.

We tested the gauge for accuracy, back to back with several units and received roughly the same readings. All pumps give slightly different readings, so if you’re hoping for the utmost accuracy, you should use the same pump every time.

The valve head threads neatly into the pump handle for storage.

There’s no getting around it, at $75, this shock pump is expensive. The pump that came with your mountain bike was free and does the exact same job. But here’s the thing, the Lezyne pump is smaller and more compact than its competitors, which makes it easier to travel with and carry. If ease of portability, quality, and accuracy are all things that matter to you in a shock pump, you should consider the Lezyne. If not, that freebie analog pump will serve you just fine.
