Küat Pivot swing out rack carrier
The Küat Pivot swing out carrier is ideal for #vanlifers with rear doors.
After improving upon the already outstanding NV with the NV 2.0 bike rack launched last year, Küat showed off the new Pivot swing out carrier at Sea Otter 2017. The Pivot works with any 2” receiver, and offers buyers an easy and convenient way to access the rear end of cars or vans without having to remove bikes or the rack.
The Pivot swings out 90 degrees and has a 250-pound weight limit.
The Pivot is made in the U.S.A. from high quality steel and weighs 46 pounds. It can carry a bike rack and bikes up to 250 pounds total weight, and swings out 90 degrees to completely clear the rear hatch area. Simply remove the locking anti-rattle hitch pin, release the clamp and the Pivot smoothly swings out without any play or flex. The Pivot also has multiple bolt holes on the receiver to adjust the mounting distance of the bike rack.
High quality USA construction ensures the Pivot will hold up to abuse.
Küat was showing off a pre-production model, and will be making a couple final hardware refinements before its availability in late summer 2017. Price will be $298.
The Pivot offers a clean and low profile appearance when closed.
