Jamis rolls out women’s 26+ Eden trail bike
A year ago, Jamis introduced the Dragonslayer 27.5+ that had a feature list the included a steel frame, adjustable sliding thru-axle dropouts, Boost 142 spacing, trail geometry, and a whole host of eyelets and mounts to load up for bike packing. Indeed, the Dragonslayer was designed for fast trail riding, as well as exploring the backcountry for weeks at a time.
Now Jamis has rolled out the 2017 Komodo 27.5+, which is billed as the aluminum yin to the steel Dragonslayer’s yang, sporting all the same features, geometry and smooth riding attributes of the Dragonslayer, but with a lighter weight, triple-butted 6061 alloy frame.
Adding to Komodo, Jamis has also debuted 26+ versions of their Dragonfly and Eden models, which the bike maker believes makes perfect sense for women riders because the 26+ wheel coupled with frame clearance for a 3.0” tire means women gain the benefits of plus bikes (traction and comfort) while maintaining the 27.5” outer wheel diameter.
Here are more details on the three new bikes.
