Interbike: Petal Power’s New Chamois Cream System for Women
It’s been two weeks since Petal Power launched its Joy Ride system and already it’s gaining momentum with a ton of action on social media and orders coming in. We caught up with its creator, Jill Hamilton, on the floor of Interbike to learn more about it, and try some for ourselves.
Jill is a cyclist and like many of us, she suffered from saddle sores. The Petal Power Joy Ride system was built based on her doctor’s advice: Start fresh, apply cream, and rinse well. The Petal Power Joy Ride system is everything we’d hope it to be: natural ingredients (including almond extract, rosemary and lavender), no parabens, and the chamois ‘creme’ comes free of tingly or “burning” ingredients like menthol or peppermint. The system is also free of animal products and testing. It held up to a day of bike testing at Outdoor Demo and we loved the three-step process for good health and comfort “down there.”
The Joy Ride System is the first of its kind and comes with Clean Start Wipes, Joy Ride Creme, and Fresh Finish Cleanser. Riders can purchase all three online for $34.99 or select only the products they need. It is available on their website, and they expect to join other online retailers and bike shops soon.
