Interbike: Niner IMBA ROS9+ bike
Niner continues to be one of the most active and innovative contributors to trail advocacy and IMBA with their Niner IMBA ROS9+ bike. Niner bikes were created and auctioned off to raise $40,000, their highest total ever for their annual fundraising projects.
We got to see the bikes for the first time and it is indeed a labor of love. Niner continues to be a leader in design and color trends and they harnessed their creative energies on this one. Almost every panel or component of the bike has a subtle and creative touch. The bike owner will discover these little nuggets throughout the years of ownership.
Marketing Manager Carla Hukee said, “We wanted to do a raffle to get more folks a shot at owning these bikes but there are so many laws regarding sweepstakes. It’s just hard to raise funds with a raffle across all states and countries.” She also remarked that it’s an interesting challenge to create these one-off bikes as they become a bigger company. “We want nine of these handlebars. Not nine hundred or nine crates, just nine.” she explains to the factory.
Our hats off to Niner who continues to be one of the leading trail advocacy supporters, pound for pound.
