Borealis Fat Bikes took Interbike by storm last year with their lightweight carbon fatbike framesets–a rarity at the time. This year the Colorado company is throwing a coming out party for their new fat component brand called Turnagain, offering wheel parts as their first foray.

Borealis Fat Bikes’ Adam Loonie shows off his expedition-ready, Turnagain-equipped fatbike, complete with a set of Bike Bag Dude bags and Old Man Mountain fat-specific rear rack.

The FR100 tubeless-ready rim leads off for Turnagain with a 100mm wide, 935 gram hoop featuring a drilled-out design and 32 spoke capacity. Available in anodized red, black, blue and silver, the FR100s retail for $140 each. To make the FR100s tubeless the company is also selling their MagnumFAT rim strips which come in four colors–black, red, white or blue–to contrast or compliment the rim color.

A pair of fat hubs round out the line–the FH 150 front hub and the FH197 rear hub–which, not surprisingly, are 32-hole designs with the front measuring 150mm wide and rear at 197mm. The $420 hubset comes in red, blue and black ano.
