Gear up for the final episodes of This is Peaty

Steve has 3 World Cup Championship wins, 1 World Championship jersey, 9 National titles, 17 World Cup wins and 52 WC podiums.

Steve Peat’s resume includes three World Cup overall title wins, one World Championship jersey, nine British National titles, 17 World Cup race wins, and 52 World Cup podiums.

The term legend often gets thrown about loosely, but if there was ever a World Cup rider deserving of the title, it’s Steve Peat. The Sheffield Steel began racing professionally in the mid-1990s and recently retired at the age of 42.

Despite being nearly double the age of his competitors, he still came in third at the British National Championships this year, ahead of riders such as Gee Atherton, Josh Bryceland, and Taylor Vernon. Peaty also finished this season ranked 68th overall in the UCI standings. Not bad for an old man.

Since 2012, Peat has worked with Steel City Media to produce a web series called This is Peaty that documented his racing antics. The show came to a screeching halt in 2014 due to a devastating injury. Now that Peat has officially retired, the crew decided to wrap the show-up. So every Monday through December, they’ll be releasing a new episode.

In episode No. 1 of the final season, the show looks back at Peat’s last two seasons. He spent that period of time dealing with an injury, working towards his recovery, and partying with the Syndicate.

Next week, the show will follow Peat as he heads to the U.S. to meet up with rally car driver (and YouTube sensation) Ken Block.
