Many riders have invested in expensive suspension and wheel upgrades in recent years, only to find that these components are no longer compatible with future models due to the rampant proliferation of new standards. To help ease the impact on wallets everywhere, Lindarets has created a set of front and rear hub adapters to convert your existing 15mm front hub and 12x142mm rear hub to the new “Boost” 15x110mm and 12x148mm standard.

Each Boostinator kit is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized to military specification in the USA. Rear kits come with appropriate-length high-strength Class 10.9 bolts.

The front kit contains a hub specific axle spacer, which shifts the hub away from the drive side, while the rear kit contains hub specific axle end caps, a precision machined rotor spacer, and a set of six high strength bolts. Once installed, the discs and cassettes are shifted to allow regular function, but the wheel must be re-dished a few millimeters.

According to Lindarets, the average wheel will need its effective non-drive side spoke length reduced by 0.4mm and the drive side by 0.1mm, which are minimal changes that are well within typical spoke tolerances. In real life, this means loosening the drive side spokes by ⅞ turn and tightening the drive side spokes a quarter turn.

You’ll sacrifice some stiffness with the Boostinator kit when compared to a true boost setup, but at ~$50 a set….who cares?

At launch, the kits are available for DT Swiss hubs (whose internals are used by several other manufacturers), Hope, and White Industries. Retail is $25 for the front spacers and $40 for the rear. Prices include free ground shipping.

Please note that the DF2, DF3, HR, and WR models are still in production. Delivery is scheduled for mid-February, and all preordered will receive a 15% discount.
