Spotted around the race circuit and a few media events this spring, FOX‘s new dropper called the Transfer caught our curious eye on more than one occasion. This one seems to have all the right moves with 150mm of damped, infinite travel.

The previous dropper post by FOX was undamped and only three-position. Plus it had a massive remote that featured two levers for a mid drop and a full drop. It was introduced at a very high price over $400 and subsequently dropped to $300. Despite its rough patches, it gained fans with extremely consistent and reliable operation.

A couple lever versions have been seen with this one perpendicular to the bar. A front shifter style has been spotted too.

No details have been released on this new one called the Transfer but we’ve observed that it has 150mm of travel that is variable or ‘infinite’. Lever actuation is very light and the speed of the dropper rise is easily controllable with the actuation of the lever. Saddle side to side play is minimal with very little wobble and the saddle is locked up or down in any position in its travel.

The head is a two bolt system where the bolts are not angled out.

Black stanchions and gold Kashima stanchions have been spotted in the wild. We look forward to giving this one an extended test.
