Five Ten Freerider Pro shoes and more
Five Ten has lots of new and cool shoes for 2017, starting with the Freerider Pro, a shoe that is stiffer and more durable than the Freerider Contact model that will continue to exist in the line. It still has a low profile to give the rider that low center of gravity and good contact interface with the bike. But the sole is stiffer and the rubber is a bit harder to give the trail rider more pedaling efficiency.
The sole is more durable but it will not give the same ‘glued to the bike’ feeling of the Freerider model. Thus, that option is still available for riders who prefer that. The shoe’s upper is stiffer material, as well, with better scuff protection and toe protection against rock hits. Price is $150. Press play to learn more.

The District is another interesting shoe since it has a huge sweet spot with application both on and off the bike. It’s a comfortable everyday shoe that is perfect for commuting, hopping on the bike for lunch, or hitting the trail for a real ride. Price for District is $80 for the flat version and $100 for the clipless version.
And finally, the Hellcat Pro is the bruiser of the Five Ten line that the World Cup downhill pros use. It’s a clipless shoe with all the durability and protection aggressive downhill riders need. Price is $180.
