Evil Following gets updated ‘More Better’er’ geo

Evil Following MB 2

Evil just launched the new Following MB with “More Better’er.”

The original Evil Following was a short travel 29er with enduro capability. The little 120mm bike became one of our favorites. It was easy to ride like a much bigger bike.

For 2018, Evil has taken note. To make the rig better handle abuse, it’s now compatible with a trunnion mounted piggy back shock (metric, of course). Evil claims the “trunnion set-up allows the shock to run on two of our linkage bearings, which not only makes the initial stroke smoother but allows the suspension to be more active throughout the travel.”

We’ll have to wait till we throw a leg over the new bike to comment, but we like what we’re hearing from Evil.

Evil Following MB Smashing Pumpking Frame Front 2018

Evil added plus compatibility, extended the reach, and the bike now plays nice with coil shocks.

In addition to the suspension updates, the frame has gone 1x specific, with boost spacing. These changes help increase overall stiffness. Oh, and you can finally squeeze plus size tires into that rear triangle. The frame is also compatible with coil and inline shocks just in case you’re looking to build up a mini DH rig.

Evil Following MB 130mm Geometry 2018

With the exception of reach, geo between the standard Following and Following MB are very similar.

Overall, the geometry remains similar to the previous model. But Evil has upped reach by 20mm across the board, but retained the slack 67.4-degree headtube angle, and compact 430mm chainstays.
