Eurobike 2015: Maxxis rolls out new tires for XC, enduro, snow, gravel and more
Cross Country: Race TT and Crossmark II
The Race TT inherits the tread pattern of the Larsen, but has been refined for modern XC bikes and race courses. Tightly packed and ramped square knobs allow this tire to roll freely, while updated siping increases the braking and cornering limits. Available in 27.5 x 2.0” and 29 x 2.0”. Weights starting at 585g.
The Crossmark II improves on the speed of its predecessor while improving grip in intermediate conditions. The proven center ridge is designed to fly on hardpack, and an updated tread pattern provides better braking and cornering over a wide range of trail conditions. Available in 27.5 x 2.25”. Weights starting at 685g.
All Mountain: Tomahawk
The Tomahawk is an all mountain tire designed to excel in all conditions. A low profile center makes it roll fast on hardpack, while open knob spacing allows the tread to clear mud when the trail gets wet. Large side knobs matched with the square profile allow for confident cornering. Available in 26 x 2.3”, 27.5 x 2.3” and 29 x 2.3”. Weights starting at 775g.
Enduro: Aggressor Enduro and Minion SS
The Aggressor is designed for high-speed trails. Advanced knob shaping creates extra gripping edges, and reinforced side knobs offer enhanced stability when cornering at speed. Available in 27.5 x 2.3”. Weights starting at 885g.
The Minion SS (semi slick) fills the gap between a fast rolling XC tire and a grippy DH tire by including a cluster of short, ramped knobs, flanked by the much-loved Minion side knobs. This is a fast rolling tire with a square profile that hooks up in loose terrain. Available in 27.5 x 2.3” and 29 x 2.3”. Weights starting at 745g.
