ESI Grips launches limited edition colors
Spot a mountain biker in a grocery store and fashion likely won’t be the first thought that comes to mind. However, look at their bike and it’s often a very different story. Matchy matchy is all the rage right now. Riders even have custom decals created to tie everything together. But traditionally, grips only came in a few select colors. Not anymore.
ESI Grips is utilizing social media to find out what their customer base wants and are offering rotating “limited” custom grip color offerings. Based on user comments, ESI selects a color, manufactures a batch, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. The first limited color is purple. These grips are available in all five thicknesses and start shipping at the end of April. Price varies based on grip thickness.
Gravel grinders, cross fanatics, and roadies will enjoy ESI’s upcoming offering, Tops & Drops. These are designed for drop bars and utilize their RCT wrap for the top horizontal portion and their silicon grip for the dropped portion. Timeline for availability is approximately four months, so around August. Pricing is yet to be determined.
ESI also added bar end plugs to their product selection in a gamut of colors. Nobody needs a hole punched in their torso, so bar plugs are a vital part of a proper bike setup. Now you even have fashionable plugs. Online pricing is $2.49.
