Long gone are the days when one wheel design served multiple riding disciplines. Today’s mountain bike wheels are veritable specialists, specifically serving an intended purpose, not casting a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none net. For DT Swiss, that means breaking its core MTB line into three categories, cross country, all mountain, and enduro. Within each of these families are numerous price points, making it easy for the consumer to find the right wheel at the right price.

Cross country offerings range from the super light, high performing full carbon XRC 1200 Spline to the more budget friendly X 1900 Spline. No matter which you choose, you’ll have the option of 27.5 or 29er in boost or non-boost hub spacing.

The all-mountain family also consists of four wheel options, starting with the carbon XMC 1200 Spline with a 30mm internal rim width. The Spline hub is the lightest DT Swiss has ever built. But don’t equate low weight with fragility. This wheel is built to take on the toughest trails and keep spinning true. If, however, you are seeking strength on a budget, the M 1900 Spline is the choice. It comes in 22.5mm and 30mm widths, and features the durable hubs and bomb proof rims you expect from DT Swiss.

If hardcore enduro racing (or just rough riding) is your thing, DT Swiss has three options, the EX 1501 Spline One, E 1700 Spline, and E 1900 Spline. Available rim widths are 25mm and 30mm, and all these wheels have been tested against the harshest conditions.

Finally, DT Swiss has an expansive range of road wheels as well as hybrid/e-bike specific offerings. This covers everything from full gas aero, to performance, endurance, cyclocross/gravel, and track. Meanwhile, the Hybrid/eMTB line-up hits four price points, each wheelset designed to withstand extra torque thanks to a steel freehub body, robust 13-gauge spokes, and increased rim bed thickness.
