Devinci’s YYZ is the vintage bike of your dreams
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Devinci built the limited edition YYZ. It’s modeled after the XYZ, a little-known bike introduced in the 1980s, but they only thing the two bikes share is the alien tubing.
The new YYZ is a modern mountain bike. According to Marketing Manager Julien Boulais, the bike has modern geometry, including “a good reach, slack head angles, and short chainstays.”
All we know is it’s the most gorgeous ugly bike we’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, Devinci has no current plans to take the YYZ into production. They built a grand total of three bikes in their Quebec, Canada factory. While you may never have the opportunity to own this bike, you can certainly lust over it. Keep scrolling to see more.
If Devinci offered the YYZ as a limited edition model, would you be interested? What vintage bike would you like to see reissued?
