Mike Herlinger, one of the founder’s of Club Ride in Sun Valley, Idaho, shows us their 3 categories of clothing for 2014 that includes the Sun Valley, Open Road and the Sub 5 Collections. The Sun Valley collection is mountain inspired, the Open Road collection is for adventure touring, gravel road, fat tire or 700c (anything that’s not race), and the Sub 5 collection is for the everyday lifestyle, on and off the bike. Styles from Club Ride include the Go West, Pure West, New West, Bolt, Vibe, Laurel and Motion jerseys, Fuze, Pit Stop, Freedom shorts, Jack and Jill Flannels, and new Johnson and Jewel undewear.
The Go West features air tube flow system, quick zip to control venting that’s concealed by pearl snaps, double long pull zipper system on the back and a media port. The Vibe, part of the Sub 5 collection, is great for around the town, off and on bike and features side venting, a single back pocket and reflective on the back. The Laurel women’s jersey features an imperial neckline with different ways to wear it, a zip system under snaps and storage pocket on the back.
The Ray slim fit jean and the Woody relaxed fit jean are denim pants that feature reflective elements. The Fuze short is an XC riding short that you can wear all day long. For the women is the Freedom knee length short that is great for on and off the bike. The DSG pleated skirt for women features a removable liner, storage pocket, and adjustment system to control the fit.
A new commuting underwear from Club Ride is the Johnson for men and Jewel for women. They are great for a light ride or light commute, are quick drying and wicking and have a minimalist chamois pad.
Club Ride’s Jack and Jill flannels for men and women are breathable shirts for the urban commuter. They are quick dry and feature venting around the arms, pearl snaps and a pocket for storage.
