The 2015 Breck Epic is in the books, following the stage 6 Gold Dust ride, which covered roughly 28 miles with 4800 feet of climbing. Big winners include Frans Claes (Loving Hut MTB Team) and Evelyn Dong (Sho-Air/Cannondale), who put in strong showings all week to run away with respective 6-day open category titles.

Claes final margin was more than 17 minutes ahead of second placed Ben Swanepoel (Squirt Lube), with Bryan Dillon (Griggs Orthopedics) slotting third, at 24:25. Claes also dominated on a daily basis, winning five out of six stages, including the final day.

Dong’s triumph was equally emphatic. The Sho-Air/Cannondale rider finished the week with a 21-plus-minute advantage over Marlee Dixon (mtbracenew.com/Pivot Cycles), with Serena Gordan (Liv Co-Factory) third at 28:30. However, it was Gordan taking stage 6 honors, besting Dong by just over a second.
