Bid on Rachel Atherton’s World’s winning Fox 40

Rachel Atherton Fox 40 Orange Auction Details

Want to own a piece of MTB history?

Fox had a solid run last year. Not only did they introduce category leading products like the Traverse dropper and StepCast fork, but their athletes raked in some impressive hardware. The highlights include Rachel Atherton’s record-setting year, Aaron Gwin winning yet another World Cup DH overall title, and Richie Rude’s second straight Enduro World Series championship.

Interested in owning a piece of that history? Fox is auctioning off eight pro athlete forks over the next two months. These forks were used in competition and come complete with scuffs, athlete signatures, and a custom wall mount.

Each fork comes signed by the athlete who used it in competition.

Just in case you’d prefer to ride your new (to you) fork, the Fox Factory race techs have serviced everything. Each component has a new crown, steer tube, and Kashima coated stanchions. This will ensure you can cut the steer tube to the optimal length.

All bidding starts at 99 cents and there’s no reserve. They’ll ship for free worldwide and all proceeds go to the Road 2 Recovery Foundation. This organization provides financial support for athletes who have sustained career ending injuries. They’ve helped athletes such as freerider Paul Basagoitia, Olympian Sam Willoughby, and BMX star Scotty Cranmer.

In the coming weeks, Fox will also action five Rampage forks, plus Richie Rude’s Float 36 Fork.

Last week, Fox auctioned off Aaron Gwin’s Fox 40. This week, they’re selling Rachel Atherton’s fork that she rode to a perfect season, becoming the first rider to win every World Cup downhill event and the World Championships.

At last check, the bid was $1625 and there are five days left in the auction. Head to eBay to bid now.
