“What’s the best thing you saw?”
It’s the No. 1 question we hear after every trade show. And here is our answer. The following — in our collective opinion — represents the newest, coolest and most interesting stuff our Mtbr crew came across throughout the course of the 2015 Interbike trade show in Las Vegas. Some will be hits, others duds, but all are at least worth a look. Here in no particular order, are the coolest new bike products for 2016. Check them out, then let us know what YOU think! Shimano XT 2×11 Drivetrain
Seen on demo bikes at the Bootleg Canyon outdoor demo, Shimano XT is bringing 2x systems back in the spotlight. Reliable and affordable, the system offers an 11-40 or 11-42 range in the back, and is compatible with existing cassette hub bodies. Front shifting is now awesome with a much stiffer and smoother front derailleur. Braking is best of breed too with great power and improved modulation. MSRP: $1090. Alchemy Arktos Trail Bike
It’s unlikely most fat tire aficionados have heard of Alchemy. The Denver, Colorado-based bike builder made its name crafting custom carbon road and cyclocross steeds.
