Alpinestars new Paragon bibs short offer versatility and protection.
Alpinestars Paragon Bib Shorts
For the ultimate in enduro specific wear, Alpinestars has created the Paragon Bib short. It features removable hip padding and a CE1 certified back protector, hydration pack integration (with hose loop), and mesh pockets for additional storage.
The new M.U.L.E. retails for $150 and will probably outlast your next car.
CamelBak M.U.L.E. Goes Low Rider
CamelBak has produced its Low Rider category of packs (think low slung horizontal lumbar reservoirs) for a couple years now. But new at Sea Otter was a redesign of the company’s top-selling M.U.L.E. model. The lower reservoir orientation is designed to keep your center of gravity lower on the bike.

Cush Core
Traditionally the protective category covers helmets, pads, gloves, and other assorted gear, but how about a product that’s claimed to save your rims? The Cush Core is a foam insert that lays against the rim. It pushes out against the tire sidewall to help reduce tire squirm, and allows you to run lower tire pressures, absorb trail chatter, and protect your rims. For more info, check our coverage here.
The Elite Knee Guards have thicker Reactive Protection Technology padding and 1621 Level 1 CE certification.
G-Form Elite Pads
G-Form produces some of the best lightweight kneepads, but until now they didn’t offer heavy duty protection. Their new elite series, which includes knee pads, elbow pads, and bibs, utilizes a thicker pad than standard. iXS Trail XC Helmet
The new Trail XC helmet is a slimmed down version of the Trail RS Evo lid from iXS. The Hans Rey approved helmet is available in seven color options and comes in three sizes. Price is $99. For more info, check our coverage here.

Julbo’s new Zebra Light Red Tint
Julbo eyewear has a new tint option, the Zebra Light Red, that’s targeted at the mountain bike crowd. The new photochromic tint responds in about 20 seconds, transitioning from visible light penetration of 75% for riding in shaded woods to 17% for sunny days. For more info, check out coverage here.
The new Leatt helmet features some of the most innovative safety tech on the market.
Leatt DBX 3.0 Helmet
Leatt is best known for inventing the modern neck brace, but they’ve recently expanded into other segments including helmets. What sets their range apart is the use of a soft pliable material called Armourgel which works much like D30. Shaped into a UFO-like disc, the material is placed in strategic locations throughout the shell. It helps to absorb lower speed impacts and reduce rotational forces. Oakley Crossrange
The new Crossrange sunglasses from Oakley are positioned at the crossroads of fashion and performance. While they look like a normal pair of shades you might wear around town, the optics, fit, and weight are optimized for performance on the bike, too. Price is $180. Protec Full Cut Helmet
The Protec Full Cut is one of the most iconic skate helmets of all time, unfortunately, it’s not very protective. In its original form, it consists of a simple plastic shell and foam liner. In a crash, it might protect your head from splitting open but not much more. At the Sea Otter Classic, Protec was showcasing a new bike certified version that uses an ABS shell with EPS foam. This combo is significantly more protective. Retail is $60 and it’s available in this stunning gold flake paint.
