It was a close race in Tui on the 25th of May and the local rider Ruben Rodriguez consolidated his leading position after having a hard fought battle all the way which ended with him acheiving second place in the Tui Big Ride sponsored by Cannondale Spanish Enduro Series.

The Enduro World Series Kicks off in Chile and things do not go exactly as planned (at least for Curtis). In Episode 3, the terrain and altitude of Nevados de Chillan aren’t the only challenge Curtis will have to overcome if he hopes to race with the best in the sport.

“You need to drop in wide and then you’ll make it…” Looking over the lip of the drop, I wasn’t sure about this piece of advice at all. A reasonably sized drop down a steep bank into a fresh-cut loam trail, with a sharp left hand turn presented itself before me. There was a tempting option of trying to straighten the run next to the (un)helpfully placed tree on the inside of the turn, but trees mean roots, and already there were signs that these were slick enough to pitch a front or rear wheel straight down the fall line of the bank…

With enduro mountain biking is exploding around the world, the Oregon Enduro Series has been leading the charge in North America for the past three years. Enthusiasm for the sport is stronger than ever and this will be a great year for enduro racing in Oregon!
