This year Mesum, the director of Mtb Mag India, decided to fly down to India to really survey the biking scene in India. He was majorly stoked to take part in a big DH race which unfortunately was cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances. Quickly all plans had to be changed and the journey became a quest to find what is the future for biking in India.

The Sierra de Grazalema mountains break up the Andalusian countryside plains with its imposing limestone massif. Its crags stand as a natural wall to the Atlantic winds, filled with humidity, making it the most rainy area in the southern half of the Iberian peninsula. On top of rocks lies the white walls of Zahara, standing in contrast to the dark scrubs clinging onto the steep face of the mountain.

Yak Ru – Annapurna Challenge ’14, the preeminent mountain biking enduro style race concluded on May 12 after 6 racing days in the remote Himalayas of Nepal. The race route traversed five of Nepal’s most beautiful and remote districts covering 240km in this 5-stage race. The formidable Thorong-La pass (altitude 5416m) was the most daunting stage for all participants, especially the riders traveling from sea level. International and Nepali riders agree that they are humbled by the mountain, but this high altitude race is not for the weak of spirit or faint of heart.
