Home Sweet Home – Unknown Home: Flimser Mountains
During last year’s mountain bike season, we unfortunately saw far too little of our adopted home of Flims. Travelling from race to race meant that we were almost always on the move. And even after eight years of living in this paradise for mountain bikers, climbers and winter sport lovers, we still haven’t ticked off all the boxes.
Adventure | The crossing of Lake St-Jean: Fatbike in the white desert
Thirty-two kilometers. It probably doesn’t sound much but when its on one of America’s largest frozen lakes deep in the heart of Canada with temperatures around -25°C and a continuous 40 km/h lateral wind blowing you off balance – things are a bit different. The figure thirty-two should be written down in big, bold letters.
Olivier Béart was amongst the 72 courageous bike riders who braved the elements on their fatbikes. While waiting for the upcoming full report dedicated to this booming new winter sport, here is the story of the crossing of Lake St Jean. A truly outstanding adventure.
Travel | Andiamo, ragazzi! – Kicking off the season in Finale Ligure
Finale Ligure does not really need an introduction. Having evolved over the last decade into a biking hotspot, this location on the Ligurian coast is recognised all over the world for enduro riding. Fabrizio D’Aloisio is a guide at the Bike School Engadin and the start of March marked the beginning of his season in Finale. His black-and-white images document this stop-off of the Enduro World Series from a unique perspective.
