Trans-Provence 2015 – Day 4: Valberg – Valdeblore
First let’s update you on the Shuttle Rally (always trademark your inventions). It has become as much a war of attrition on drivers and vehicles as the actual race itself.
Trans-Provence 2015 – Day 3: Villars-Colmars to Valberg
Even amongst very good days, Day 3 Mavic TransProvence 2015 stands out for a couple of reasons. First and foremost it was an incredibly long day some competitors didn’t get back until 7pm. The other memorable reason (for the race organisers) were the almost embarrassingly gushing complements about the trails ridden today (even though we did have to tear their legs off first to get to them!)
Race Report | The Radon Factory Team at the European Champs
The weekend of the 20th and 21st of June 2015 is one that is to be remembered in the sport of Enduro mountain biking. This weekend was the world’s first ever European Enduro Championship race and it was officially overseen by the European Cyclists’ Federation. The event was held in the beautiful Austrian town of Kirchberg but the weather was far from perfect… To find out how the race went for the Radon Factory Team riders, read their official race report below.
Trans-Provence 2015 – Day 2: Barcelonnette to Villars-Colmars
Well after yesterday’s race report summary wandering off into the philosophical meaning of maps and landscape we now return to a more fact-based report. (In the writer’s defence, yesterday the sun was hot and the beer was cold).
Trans-Provence 2015 – Day 1: Embrun to Barcelonnette
Competitors on Mavic Trans-Provence get a lot of maps during the week. They get five or six pages a day, lovingly prepared for them. They’re in order and in a swish plastic sleeve so that they can be taken out into the mountains with them every day. These maps are aids that support and/or confirm the signage that is attached to posts, bushes and trees along the entire length of the route. The maps have intonations that can help the savvy map reader work out where they are, where they should be, or just confirm that yes, they’re lost!
