The Big Mountain Enduro held it’s fifth and final stop in Moab, Utah, which also served as the finals for the North American Enduro Tour (N.A.E.T.) The biggest names in this emerging discipline made their way to the desert to go head-to-head in five stages, two of which finished the weekend on the iconic “Whole Enchilada”.

The 2nd Giant 2W Gravity Enduro race was held in Rotorua over the weekend and was by all accounts a really successful event. There were over 300 entrants to the event, making 2W the biggest Enduro event in New Zealand. For this event, the courses were changed from the previous event and an additional stage was added bringing a total of stages raced to five with a combined total distance of 15.8 km and over 1150 m of descent.

It’s actually a relatively short one by Mavic® Trans-Provence standards. A mere 40km long but it still manages to throw in nearly 1000m of climbing just when the riders’ legs could do without it.

Just in case riders haven’t had enough of on sight big mountain riding, not enough huge road cols and haven’t pushed and dragged their bikes enough along tiny hiking trails; Day 5 is guaranteed to make sure they’re full to the brim of all of the above, sating them before the final day and the ride into Menton tomorrow.
