After what seemed like a long break in the British Enduro Series racing calendar, this great (and thankfully now) ‘only’ main British series made it’s way to the middle of the UK to Shropshire’s Eastridge Woods. Stooped in a history of old-skool DH racing from days when large mountains weren’t needed for such events, Eastridge is a great natural trailed riding spot with lots of fierce local competition.

Richie Rude and Cecile Ravanel have done it again – they win the SRAM Canadian Open Enduro Presented by Specialized which marks the sixth round of the Enduro World Series 2016. The race was part of the annual Crankworx Whistler festival that pulls more than 100,000 people to iconic MTB destination.

With the bankruptcy and end to the UK Enduro season now being old news, but still leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of all involved, everyone just wants to move on from this situation and put it down to bad judgement of a character. Neil Delafield left in his wake a whole list of disgruntled folk, after it emerged he never paid marshals, the Forestry Commission, landowners, and even kept products donated by series sponsors. There was however a bit of light at the end of the tunnel!

After a successful race in La Thuile a couple weeks ago for round 4 of the Enduro World Series, where the team got their first podium, we hopped on a plane to make it across the pond. The team started their North American campaign in Aspen, Colorado for round 5 of the Enduro World Series. We were welcomed by a gorgeous Colorado weather but the high altitude of the Rockies proved to be harsh for everyone with dizziness and shortness of breath.
