Sea Otter 2015 | Mavic’s New Crossmax Pro Helmet
At this year’s Sea Otter Mavic have presented their new enduro-specific open-face helmet that comes complete with a host of clever features.
Designed with enduro racing in mind, the Mavic Crossmax Pro is Mavic’s latest open-face helmet, which offers more than just average protection. The form and ventilation are ideally suited for use with goggles and the visor is adjustable.
Unlike many other current enduro open-face helmets, this one doesn’t come with MIPS, but it does have the Poron XRD technology that can absorb more impact than comparable foams and offers more protection. The interior relies on the so-called X-Static anti-microbial padding, and it is delivered with an optional mesh liner.
The Crossmax Pro weighs 320g (size medium) and comes in four colours. It should be available in the shops from September with a RRP of 150€.
