Race Report | URGE 1001 Enduro Tour #4 in Roubion, France
Honestly, wish the amount of crashes I’ve had, I don’t remember 5 days ago, nevermind 5 years. Well, we’re sure Florian Nicolai remembers, because back in 2010 he won his first ever enduro race at Roubion in South Eastern France, so what better way to relive the last 5 years than rekindling this moment of glory where it all began?
Currently residing third in the rankings of the Enduro World Series and with 3 overall titles of the URGE 1001 Enduro Tour under his belt, Florian took on the slippery trails of Roubion and to no-surprise, won the 4th round of the tour. Albeit not an easy task, as Loic Piazzon, the KTM rider, was constantly on his wheel while Arnaud Tabusteau and Valentin Escriou compiled the rest of the podium.
One surprise for the race was Meggie Bichard, who’s currently ranked 6th in the EWS, actually finished with the same time as Florian.
