Race Report | Raphaela Richter wins at Tweedlove
Winning a round at the Enduro World Series is no easy feat. Radon Factory Enduro team member, Raphaela Richter, took the under 21 category by storm and won with an impressive 4 minutes over the number 2. After 5 stages, she would’ve kept in the top 5 of the Elite Women, but unfortunately her class slipped in the 6th stage, dropping her out but still securing the big win in the under 21 class!
Raphaela stated: “What an amazing event, the crowd was insane! So cool to see that many kids cheering for us. This gave me the extra energy to get through the first day which was long and exhausting to me.
I was surprised to be that far in front, because I had some troubles on stage 1, and a flat tyre on stage 3. But the over 2 minute lead after day 1 gave me a huge confidence boost for day 2. All the stages at Tweedlove were good fun, but to be honest, not as hard as I expected.
Stage 6 was more an XC stage then a real enduro stage to me. I started this stageway to conserve my energy for the last 3 technical minutes, which maybe cost me the stage win. I am super stoked with this win and I’m now looking forward to the German National Championships next week.”
