Race Preview | Terlago Enduro Race 2015

After the positive debut of 2013 and the successful 2014’s international edition as the opening stop of the SRAM – Specialized Enduro Series, the quality proven enduro is coming back to Terlago, and exactly on the 13th and 14th of June, with a race track completely redesigned! The start area and the paddocks will translate from the main square of the village to the lakeside and the suggestive location will be perfect not only for the racers but also for those that will follow them for a magic family holiday time.

The municipality of Terlago really believes on the development of this discipline, that’s why since 3 years now they blindly trust the work of Rideaway ASD, and thanks to that we can proudly announce that the surprises will be many in this edition!

There will be 4 stages, 2 of those totally new, with a brand new prologue for the saturday fun before the DJ set and beer/BBQ party.
There will be 4 stages, 2 of those totally new, with a brand new prologue for the saturday fun before the DJ set and beer/BBQ party.

Jungle Prologue, Molvezana, PraMoro, Abysso and the new Massacro, a technical variation on the famous Rocol trail (the stage 5 of the SSES edition), this are the names of the four stages, the trails that are composing the perfect race track of year 2015. All the new tracks are part of the “Terlago Bike Area” project, and now are almost 20 the kilometers of descents for the practice of the enduro in the area, free of be used not only for the event but during the all year.

Jungle Prologue powered by Formula: after a very short transfer to the top of a small mount on the north side of the lake starts a short but really exciting trail, a real ‘rocky-flow’ descent with a smooth rocky surface at the beginning, technical sections, drops and tight turns through a luxuriant vegetation, in a really jungle style atmosphere! Less than 2 minutes of pure fun and adrenaline to reach the lake at “full gas”. At the end DJ set and beer/BBQ party at the beach bar!

Sunday 14th, 9:00am

Stage 1: Molvezana trail, this trail starts from the top of a mount very close to the village of Terlago (last year the Stage3 was starting a little lower on the same mount), the first is a slow/tech riding section that becomes rough and than fast and flow, than technical again with interesting rocky sections, well we would say that is a concentrate bland of a perfect enduro interpretation.

"Slow/tech riding section that becomes rough and than fast and flow, than technical again with interesting rocky sections."

Stage 2: PraMoro trail – Birrificio Rethia Challenge, this will be a challenge from different points of view, the transfer from the end of stage1 to the top is the longest of the entire race and it will cover a total of 700 mt of climb, but because the enduro takes the origins from the all mountain we decided that this distance will be covered with a mellow rhythm. The maximum time will be enough to cover it without risks, and during the transfer there will be 2 drinking stops and at the top on the big plateau of the PraMoro there will be a big feeding zone. Once you’ve filled up your tank then there is the “masterpiece” for this edition, a 3km long stage for almost 600mt of vertical drop will lead you down to valley with an amazing succession of steep turns and compression, berms, roots, fast flowy sections, loose gravel sections very Garda style, and once down you’ll be totally recharged of adrenaline and the climb will be only an old old memory, believe us!! And, last but not least the fastest lady rider and the fastest man rider will get a box of 6 different types of beers, the price of the challenge sponsored by the Birrificio Rethia, a local Cartesian brewery!

Stage3: Abysso trail, those who were here for the past edition for sure remember the stage4, well this will be mostly the same except for the part at the beginning, we completely redesigned it in the way to cut-off the long pedal section that brings to the middle part, where the real fun begins, and once there you’ll be quickly pushed down to the end, at the Lamar lake.

Stage4: Rocol trail, finally at the end, yeah! After stage3 we have the last short climb to the top of Dosso di Terlago, at 900mt of altitude starts the Rocol trail, the amazing “ex stage5 – 2015”, also this year we’ll freak out riding at full speed through a variety of situation that every kind of biker would dream, but this is reality!! And there will be a surprising new section, the Massacro, a technical rocky section steep and tricky that rise up the level but also the dose of adrenaline and the fun, and at the end your smile will be a XXXLarge size! We are sure that you would like to ride it again…..

After the end of this stage a short transfer along the castle wall and through the old village streets will lead us to the arrival area.

"While we'll set up for the award ceremony, the Pro Loco of Terlago will offer the famous pasta party and the Bar Lido will serve super cold beer to keep the temperature high for the final results and podiums!"
