News | GoPro presents new Hero 4 Session
GoPro is presenting the newest incarnation of their well-known Hero-cam: The GoPro Hero 4 Session. The new version is both smaller and lighter than its predecessors but retains the durability and impermeability that has made the action camera brand so popular.
The new GoPro is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the current GoPro Hero 4 Silver. The new cuboid frame offers new mounting options, using either an extra-low profile or ball joint to change the angle of the camera without having to dismount it.
The Hero 4 Session comes with one-button-control and can be set up via the GoPro-App for your smartphone, or through the separately available GoPro Smart Control. The setup options have been radically simplified with only one button and features like the Low Light Mode are now automatic to guarantee the best picture quality possible.
When it comes to recording, traditional filming up to 1440p30 should produce sharp footage, and there is also a timelapse-mode with different options. The only downside is the built-in battery that makes a quick switch to a new, charged battery impossible.
The GoPro Hero 4 Session will be available from July 12th in two different versions (Standard and Surf) that offer different mounting options. Pricing will be 429€.
