Jared Graves takes Bronze on Enduro Bike at the Downhill Worlds in RSA
Jared Graves, currently in second place in the overall ranking of the Enduro World Series, just won the bronze medal at the Downhill World Championship in South Africa. As the track is not as gnarly as other downhill tracks of the World Cup circuit everyone was tuning their bikes to make them as light and efficient as possible. Jared was one of the few guys that opted for a more radical measure:
“The biggest reason why I have chosen my enduro bike SB-66 is that it is the bike that I have ridden all year. I knew I wouldn’t have the time to get fully comfortable on my DH bike. If I had have time to train one or two weeks on my DH bike I definitely would have been on it. I thought about it, and if you can get away with it on one track then it is this one. The bike is killing it out there. I’m happy with my choice.”

“My run went pretty much the way I thought. You always have to give up a little bit of time on the top in the gnarly stuff, making it up in the bottom. That was a trade off and it worked out. So pumped!”
