First Look | The Felt Cruncher kid-size fat bike
Kids are great! Kids are the future! But how are we supposed to get kids as excited about riding as we are? The answer is obvious: by giving them awesome bikes to ride! California-based bike manufacturer Felt have obviously known this for some time, and now they’ve launched the Cruncher, a lovely fat-bike just for kids. We had the opportunity to take a first look:
Fat tyres and disc brakes – the Cruncher can handle a lot!
As the fat tyres, mounted on 80mm rims, already provide more than sufficient comfort, the Cruncher comes with rigid forks. Mechanical Tektro M280 disc brakes take care of braking.
The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Altus 7-speed derailleur and short cranks (152mm) with a 36-tooth chainring.
The Felt Cruncher will cost 449 € (20″) and 499 € (24″) – which isn’t much to pay to become the king or queen of every playground!
