DI.A Winner 2016: Antidote CarbonJack
The mission of the Design & Innovation Award is to shape the bicycle world in a positive way. It also serves as a forum for creativity, visionary ideas as well as the industry’s most innovative products. More than 40 experts from 10 countries joined this year’s event to test, analyze and judge the best and most innovative products of 2016 in Kronplatz/San Vigilio – Dolomites. The Award recognises either outstanding product design and function, or innovation that sets a new standard and inspires future product generations and forward-thinking approaches.
Antidote CarbonJack
Antidote are a small Polish company who painstakingly hand-craft their distinctive carbon frames in Krakow. After frame-building experience gained in DH, they have now targeted enduro racing with the CarbonJack. Making use of Vectran fibres that are normally found in space suits, the Antidote CarbonJack has a striking design. The clean lines and attention to detail are exceptional, and the Antidote CarbonJack’s intricate design and beautiful execution make it a clear award winner. The bike is more than a catwalk model, though. Boasting 160 mm of travel and a very modern geometry, it’s an animal on the trails – but be careful, you wouldn’t want to scratch it!
Price: € 2,999 (frame only) | Weight: 2.5 kg (frame only) | antidotebikes.com
