Bold Unplugged – Potent geometry meets integrated shock
Like its little brother, the Linkin Trail, the shock of the new Bold Unplugged is hidden inside the front triangle. With its aggressive and adaptable geometry and long travel, the bike should be happy on rough trails. Read all about the new Bold here.
The Unplugged neatly hides its shock inside the carbon frame. Despite the integrated design, the 29er, also compatible with 27.5+ tyres, offers 164 mm of rear travel. Paired with a 160 mm to 180 mm fork offering and potent geometry, it’s prepared for anything you dare point it down.
The componentry of the Bold Unplugged
Using Bold’s online configurator the Unplugged can be specced to your own desires and demands. In addition to the suspension, the brakes, the drivetrain, the length of the dropper seat post, and the dimensions of the cockpit can be selected to the rider’s preferences.
The geometry of the Bold Unplugged
The Unplugged is easy to adapt to your riding style. The chain stay length, bottom bracket height and head angle can be adjusted thanks to Variotec. With concentric washers in the horst-link the chainstay length is adjustable by up to 1 cm. The head angle can be adjusted by 1.5° with the help of a special NEWMEN headset.

Our first impression
At first glance, the Bold with its unusual appearance and cleverly thought-out details looks convincing. The adjustable geometry looks very promising on paper too. We’re curious to see if the handling will keep what the appearance of this carbon monster promises.
