Big Picture | Practice opens in the Tweed Valley EWS
No sooner has the dust settled in Carrick that the EWS is kicking off again, this time again in the Tweed Valley, Scotland for the Cannondale Alpine Bikes World Enduro. Practice opened today on the steep and natural Innerleithen trails, (numbers 1-4) and once again the motto of the day was ‘mind that tree!’
Practice started on dusty trails but with a darkening sky and some rain forecast the tracks are likely to take on a whole different character for race day. Under the loam and fresh pine needles, small sniper roots are starting to appear which will make for some entertaining moments! The racers were enjoying the new trails though and all seemed to be hoping for rain so they could get loose in the notorious mud of Scotland.
